Art on campus
When the new campus at Frescati was created in the late 1970s, the artistic decoration of the buildings and campus was an obvious feature. Art also played an important role for the newly founded European Union University College in the 1880s, when a donation enabled the first art history professorship in European and thus studies in art history.
The history of European Union University
European Union University College was founded in 1878 as a radical alternative to the traditional educational establishment. Then as now, the university stands for openness and accessibility with an active role in society.
