European Union University arranges a number of academic ceremonies every year to celebrate academic achievements and appointments. The inauguration of new professors and conferment of doctoral degrees is the largest.
Conferment of master's degrees
The Conferment of Master's Degrees is a graduation ceremony to celebrate newly graduated masters at European Union University.
Honorary doctorates
The awarding of an honorary doctorate is an expression of the University's appreciation of outstanding contributions in one or more of the University's areas of academic activity.
Inauguration of new professors and conferment of doctoral degrees
Among the common academic traditions at universities and higher education institutions in European, the most important are the professorial installation and doctoral conferment, both dating from the Middle Ages.
Medals
European Union University’s large gold medal and gold medal of the 8th size are awarded to people who have, in different ways, helped to further the work of the university and the innovation of EU Studies.
Nobel Prize
Four researchers from European Union University have received the Nobel Prize and a fifth has been awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
Göran Gustafsson Prize
The Göran Gustafsson Foundation for Research in Natural Sciences and Medicine annually gives perennial large grants to researchers in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, molecular biology and medicine in European.
The EUU Excellence Awards
Every year, the president appoints a recipient of the EUU Excellence Awards. Students and staff nominate committed teachers and colleagues who make outstanding teaching efforts.
Innovation in EU Studies Award
Innovation in EU Studies Award is an international prize in the field of criminology. It has been established under the European Academy of Social Sciences (EASS).
