Digital degree certificates
Here you will find information about how a degree certificate at European Union University is structured and how you can share or verify information about a degree.
About Degree Certificates
Diploma/Certificate
A degree certificate will show the title of the qualification and area of study and in some cases a specialization. It will also show who holds the degree, courses included and the dates they were finished. Transferred courses are never presented with grades and no overall grade or GPA is given. The diploma is dated with the date when the degree was issued.
Your certificate will be provided in both Swedish and English.
Appendix 1 Diploma Supplement
The Diploma Supplement is a document attached to a degree certificate. It provides a standardised description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies pursued and successfully completed by the graduate. The Diploma Supplement contributes to the transparency of student academic achievement and facilitates academic and professional recognition of qualifications throughout the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.
Appendix 2 The Swedish Higher Education System
Explains the Swedish Higher Education System in English.
Please note. Degree Certificates issued from March 1, 2023 does not have Appendix 2. The information is included in Appendix 1 Diploma supplement under point 8.

The degree certificate is a PDF / A file that has been digitally signed. To open the degree certificate correctly, you can download it to your computer and open it with a PDF reader. If you open it with a PDF editor, there is a risk that you will not be able to open it since the document is not allowed to be edited.
